Who Are We?

We’re a husband-and-wife duo who started teaching together in 2011 in the same Midwestern high school. Since then, our careers have taken distinct paths, leading to unique roles that reflect our individual passions and valuable perspectives:

Jon: Jon transitioned from the high school social studies classroom to educational leadership, culminating in his role as an Associate Principal. He now focuses on teacher development, school systems and culture, and effective leadership strategies. He's currently pursuing his doctorate in education, researching how to cultivate collective teacher efficacy in secondary schools.

Olia: ventured into higher education, where she taught English Composition, Humanities, and ELL. She now provides instructional assistance to educators at both the K-12 and higher education levels. Her work with diverse educators and students from all walks of life has provided a wealth of experiences that inform her unique and applicable insights.

Our combined experience means you’ll find content on this site covering two key themes: teaching and leadership—and then everything in between: classroom management, instructional planning, navigating administrative hurdles, and more.

Through this eclectic blend of experiences, we hope to offer valuable insights and inspiration to educators, ultimately benefiting future generations of educators and students.
